Q: What Causes Odors?

A: Odors are caused by lack of a sufficient energy source for the bacteria in the holding tank. By providing OD?L? as a preferred energy source, toxic hydrogen sulfide is removed while the waste is broken down.

Q: Is OD?L? a kind of bacteria/enzyme?

A: No, it contains a nutrient for the naturally occurring positive bacteria in the waste.

Q:  Does OD?L? have a scent?

A: No, it is completely odor free.

Q: Does OD?L? have any kind of color?

A: No, this is a clear liquid that will not stain.

Q:  Is OD?L? corrosive?

A: No, it has a neutral pH. It will actually prevent corrosion by eliminating the corrosive Hydrogen Sulfide gas (H2S). 

Q:  Does OD?L? contain formaldehyde?

A: No.

Q:  Is OD?L? biodegradable?

A: Yes, it is 100% biodegradable.

Q: How does OD?L? work?

A: By feeding the naturally occurring positive bacteria the right nutrients, OD?L? speeds up the natural composting process and prevents the odor producing anaerobic process. This will break up the waste and eliminate H2S and other odor components.

Q:.How well does OD?L? work?

A: OD?L? removes 98.5% of all odors. (Measured by ED50 - values)

Q: Will OD?L? break up the waste?

A: Yes, the natural composting process will break up waste. (However, if you have a clogged system, you should use a regular waste digester)

Q: Will OD?L? lubricate the valves?

A: Yes, OD?L? is a water soluble lubricant.

How and where to use OD?/font>RL?/font>S

Q: What is the right dosage to use?

A: 4oz. per 40 Gallon Holding Tank. One (1) ounce of OD?L? per 10 gallons of waste. Half as much as most other sanitary products.

Q: How long will OD?L? last?

A: 4oz. will typically last for a week in a 40 gallon holding tank, depending on temperature. Should temperature exceed 85F, more product should be used.

Q:  Where can OD?L? be used? Can I use it in my grey water tank?

A: It can be used in black and gray water tanks, Port-a-Potties and septic tanks.

Q: How much should I used in my gray water tank?

A: Use 4oz. followed by a quart of water. 

Q: Can I use OD?L? in my Porta-Potty?

A: Yes, add two thirds of the dosage to the holding tank, and one third to the flushing tank.

Q: Does OD?L? have an expiration date?

A: No, it stores indefinitely.

Q: At what temperature will it freeze?

A: It will not freeze until it goes well below 0?F

Q: Will freezing harm the product?

A: No. As soon as it thaws the active ingredient is ready.

Q: Will heat damage the product?

A: Heat will have no adverse effect on the product.

Q: Is it safe for the campgrounds sewage system?

A:Yes, OD?L? actually helps the process in sewage systems.
